Consistently high ratings with 18 new reviews this month. Staff quality and trail maintenance frequently praised.

Beautiful nature preserve. Absolutely worth visiting. My only visit so far, only did a small trail. It was well maintained, the boardwalk and bridge are very well made. The trail was nice and easy for my 7 year old. We seen a flock of wild turkeys and two deer. While it is inexpensive for a day pass, the membership program is well worth it. It offers benefits that are honored among other preserves in a consortium, but more important to me is having a beautiful place that is kept as wild as possible, especially easily accessible to everyone. There are clearly defines rules. As someone who loves fungi and constantly going off trail for pictures and occasionally forage, it was nice having clearly defined, unambiguous rules. I am more than happy to not partake in my hobby when it is asked of me. The preserve was clean. I did not notice one peice of trash, which is so wonderful. Even Metroparks and other natural areas with trash cans everywhere, I still find trash littered throughout the park. The nature center is wonderful. They do have a few live animals and activities for kids, along with a bird feeder. The gentleman working the desk was very pleasant. A warm and welcoming person who radiated passion for the work they do. The energy he brought to our interaction was wonderful. He is a great communicator, able to break ideas down in a way that my shy 7 year old was asking follow up questions! While I didn't have any questions this times, he made it feel easy to ask any nature questions I had in the future. Overall, very positive experience in a wonderfully maintained, close to as wild as we can expect with human visitors. Will end up getting a membership and would recommend it for anyone who can afford it who plans to visit a few times a year.

Little gem of a park. Beautiful area around the lakes. We loved the boardwalk trail in the marsh area (it was spectacular in June as you safely walk among the tall cattails and grass). We loved walking deep in the crunchy leaves this fall. And the nature center has such an impressive and beautiful collection of local wildlife and birds.

This is our first time going to Seven Ponds! The staff were amazing. We attended Knee High Naturalist and Ms Allen was great! The kids loved learning, crafts, and snack! We can't wait to attend more programs and check everything out in warmer weather!
